PEEK NATURAL

PEEK is a thermoplastic that resists continuous operating temperatures of 250°C.

If reinforced with glass or carbon fibre, its traction resistance improves to a very high degree, allowing it to be employed in applications previously exclusive to metals, since it behaves excellently under dynamic load conditions.

This material has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion (the lowest amongst semi crystalline thermoplastics). It has excellent electrical properties that are maintained even after long exposure to high temperatures. It is difficult to ignite but in such a case, its fume emission is minimal and non toxic. It resists virtually all chemical agents, even at high temperatures and is practically immune to being hydrolyzed, even at 280 °C. Its resists X rays well, even at high temperatures (can be used in nuclear applications)
